Khuga Dam

The Khuga Dam, located on the Khuga River in Manipur, India, is a 38-meter-high earthen dam designed to provide irrigation, drinking water, and 7.5 MW of hydropower. Encardio Rite supplied and installed advanced safety monitoring instrumentation, including vibrating wire piezometers, inclinometers, earth pressure cells, and strong motion accelerographs, to ensure the dam's long-term stability and safety. Continuous data collection helps detect potential issues early, supporting proactive maintenance and operational efficiency.

Khuga Dam

Khuga dam is constructed on the Khuga River south of Churachandpur town (Manipur), India. It is an earthen dam for the purpose of supplying electricity and water to irrigate 15,000 ha of land, provide 10 million gallons for drinking water, and has installed a capacity of 7.5 MW hydropower.

The height of the dam above its lowest foundation is 38 m, and its length is 230 m.
