Dagachhu Hydroelectric Project
The 126-MW Dagachhu hydropower project in Bhutan is built on the Dagachhu River in the southwestern district of Dagana. The project is a run-of-the-river power plant.
Encardio-rite supplied and instrumented geotechnical monitoring sensors for the diversion weir, desilter, headrace tunnel, surge tank, pressure shaft, tailrace tunnel, underground powerhouse, and transformer cavern.
Encardio-rite also provided monitoring services by posting experienced engineers at the site for installed instruments that included aninclinometer,piezometer, water level recorder, boreholeextensometer, rock boltload cells,arc weldable strain gage,embedment strain gage,plumb lines, portableread out units, surface settlement point, and bireflex targets.
