The DLC Transmission Towers Project in Pittsburgh, PA, focuses on slope and structural monitoring for four galvanized steel lattice towers in landslide-prone areas. DLC Transmission Towers Project

Four galvanized steel lattice towers were being considered for replacement as part of Duquesne Light Company's (DLC) upgrades to their transmission system.

For slope monitoring as well as structural monitoring of towers, an instrumentation plan was required.

Encardio Rite, USA was entrusted to provide complete instrumentation and automated, near-real-time monitoring results for the project. This project's instrumentation included tilt meters attached to each of the four towers and in-place inclinometers in boreholes adjacent to selected towers, with online data at the client's desk.
