Sugar Pine Dam

Sugar Pine Dam is an earth fill embankment dam located 7 miles (11 kilometres) north of Foresthill in Placer County, California. It impounds North Shirttail Creek, a tributary of the North Fork American River, and serves as the Foresthill community's primary municipal water supply.

The Sugar Pine Dam Project involved monitoring of a zoned earthfill dam that consists of a central clay core and rockfill shell. The project required piezometers to collect some long–term monitoring data.
