Sugar Pine Dam

The Sugar Pine Dam Project in California involved upgrading outdated instrumentation with Encardio Rite's advanced piezometers and ESDL-30 dataloggers. Located in Placer County, this earthfill embankment dam serves as the Foresthill community's primary water supply. The durable Model EPP-30V piezometers provide accurate water level and pressure readings, ensuring long-term safety. With monthly manual data collection at six-hour intervals, this upgrade ensures reliable monitoring of the dam's remaining design life, enhancing its operational efficiency and stability.

Sugar Pine Dam

Sugar Pine Dam is an earthfill embankment dam located 7 miles (11 kilometers) north of Foresthill in Placer County, California. It impounds North Shirttail Creek, a tributary of the North Fork American River, and serves as the Foresthill community's primary municipal water supply.

The Sugar Pine Dam Project involved monitoring a zoned earthfill dam that consists of a central clay core and rockfill shell. The project required piezometers to collect some long–term monitoring data.

Encardio Rite, USA, was entrusted to provide the instrumentation and real-time monitoring results for the project.
