I-78 Easton Road Bridge Abutment Project

The project includes rehabilitation work needed for the existing I-78 dual road bridge on Interstate 78 over Easton road near Bethlehem PA. There have been a few inspections which showed settlement and rotation of the MSE walls that support the bridge as abutments.

Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Program planned for the rehabilitation work of the addressed the various deficiencies and issues stated in the maintenance report.

To investigate the movement pattern for west and eastbound of the bridge abutments, the geotechnical instruments were used to collect sub-surface deformation data as well as the change in pore water pressures under the bridge abutments.

Rite Geosystems Inc., our USA Company, was entrusted with the complete instrumentation and real-time monitoring results for the project including the supply of geotechnical instruments, installation of geotechnical instruments, and automatic monitoring.
