Encardio Rite wireless in-place inclinometer (IPI) systems are quite advanced systems, designed to measure the lateral movement of earthworks or structures. These are used in critical applications where real-time monitoring and early warning are required to protect life and valuable assets.
The in-place inclinometer system typically consists of a string of digital inclination sensors. This string of sensors is positioned inside the inclinometer casing to span the movement zone. Each in-place inclination sensor is fitted with a pair of pivoted sprung wheels.
Encardio Rite offers different types of IPI systems:
- In-place vertical inclinometer system with GPRS/GSM transmission
- In-place vertical inclinometer system with radio frequency transmission
- In-place horizontal inclinometer system with GPRS/GSM transmission
- In-place horizontal inclinometer system with radio frequency transmission
- 3D In-place horizontal inclinometer system with a settlement monitoring feature
The digital in-place sensors are connected through a single 3-conductor bus cable in a daisy chain fashion, connecting each sensor to its next immediate neighbour and finally to the top of the borehole and directly to the model ESDL-30 datalogger (GPRS/GSM transmission) or Node and Gateway (RF transmission). This has great advantages at locations with a large number of sensors in a borehole, as it eliminates the hassle of accommodating a large number of individual signal cables inside the borehole.
Encardio Rite offers different types of IPI:
1. Model EAN-56: The In-place Inclinometer is the most advanced wireless in-place inclinometer (IPI) system with both SDi-12 and Modbus output, designed to measure the lateral movement of earthworks or structures. This is used in critical applications where real-time monitoring and early warning are required to protect life and valuable assets. The IPI design allows each sensor to move independently from each other without influence from the sensors above or below. This provides a profile of displacement over the complete length of the installation.
2. Model EAN-52MV: It is a wireless in-place inclinometer (IPI) system, designed to measure the lateral movement of earthworks or structures. It is used to monitor in real-time and also give warnings if required. This device has digital inclination sensors that help in monitoring the earthworks.
These devices transfer data via the GPRS/GSM network to the cloud server with utmost reliability.
