Upper Kotmale Hydroelectric Project
Encardio-rite executed the monitoring and instrumentation work for the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project in Sri Lanka. This is a large hydroelectric dam of Sri Lanka.
Encardio-rite was awarded this contract in a single meeting with the Japanese consultants for the project. The scope of work included supply and installation of the geotechnical instrumentation for the surge shaft, pressure shafts and powerhouse. Range of instruments used included piezometers, load cells and borehole extensometer and portable readout units.
