The Musurumili Reservoir Project has been constructed in the Sitapalligu river basin of Godavari, near Musurumili (V) of Rampachodavaram (M) in East Godavari district Andhra Pradesh. It is a medium irrigation project which is proposed to create an irrigation facility to an extent of 9164 hectares (22,643 acres) as well as a drinking water facility for 23 villages enroot the canal.
The project consists of a 1.040 km long earthen dam with a maximum height of 31 m in a deep path with an upper width of 6 m and a 86.50 m long spillway with 7 radial gates, each of size 10 m x 7.5 m. Which discharges 2,944 cumec. The crest level of the spillway is +115.50 m. Gross Storage Capacity is 45.293 MQM and Live Storage Capacity is 40.414 MQM. Is.
