Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, the world’s most expensive standalone casino resort, is an architectural marvel with a 340 m-long Sky Park and a 150 m infinity pool atop its iconic towers. Encardio-Rite provided advanced geotechnical monitoring solutions for the structure through Syseng (s) Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Over 300 tilt sensors, 400 strain gauges, temperature sensors, displacement sensors, and load cells were deployed with a wireless web-based data monitoring system to ensure safety and structural stability during the project.

The Marina Bay Sands hotel is a resort that overlooks the Marina Bay in Singapore. It is known to be the world’s most expensive standalone casino property, priced at $8 billion, including the cost of the land. The resort has 2,561 rooms and a 1,300,000-square-foot convention-exhibition center. The complex has a 340 m-long Sky Park with a capacity to host 3,900 people and a 150 m infinity swimming pool, set on top of the world’s largest public cantilevered platform, which extends over the north tower by 67 m.

Encardio-rite supplied a number of geotechnical instruments/sensors for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel Tower through an associate. The associate Syseng (s) Pte. Ltd., Singapore, instrumented the project with wireless web-based data monitoring with over 300 tilt sensors and 400l strain gages, 400 temperature sensors, and a number of displacement sensors & load cells.
