The Marina Bay Sands hotel is a resort that overlooks the Marina Bay in Singapore. It is known to be the world’s most expensive standalone casino property, priced at $8 billion, including the cost of the land. The resort has 2,561 rooms and a 1,300,000-square-foot convention-exhibition center. The complex has a 340 m-long Sky Park with a capacity to host 3,900 people and a 150 m infinity swimming pool, set on top of the world’s largest public cantilevered platform, which extends over the north tower by 67 m.
Encardio-rite supplied a number of geotechnical instruments/sensors for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel Tower through an associate. The associate Syseng (s) Pte. Ltd., Singapore, instrumented the project with wireless web-based data monitoring with over 300 tilt sensors and 400l strain gages, 400 temperature sensors, and a number of displacement sensors & load cells.
