Chamera Hydroelectric Project
Chamera HEP is constructed on the river Ravi. It is located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
Encardio-rite provided a risk assessment monitoring solution for Chamera II and Chamera III.
Chamera-II project comprises of a 43 m high, 118.5 m long concrete gravity dam with 7.0 m dia., a 7.86 km long head race tunnel. The underground power house with an installed capacity of 300 MW houses 3 units of 100 MW capacity each, designed to operate under the net rated head of 243 m and designed to generate 1499.89 million units in a 90% dependable year with 95% machine availability.
Chamera-III project comprises of a 64 m high, 73 m long concrete gravity dam with a 6.5 m dia., a 15.97 km long head race tunnel. The underground power house with an installed capacity of 231 MW houses 3 units of 77 MW capacity each, designed to operate under the net rated head of 200 m and designed to generate 1086.37/1108.17 million units in a 90% dependable year with 95% machine Availability.
