Chagallu Barrage Project Stage-II

Encardio Rite provided geotechnical instrumentation for the Chagallu Barrage Stage-II project, including piezometers, strain gauges, temperature meters, and more. The instrumentation system ensures real-time monitoring of the dam, spillway, and canal structures. With automatic data acquisition, the system captures critical parameters such as pore pressure, strain, and movement, while providing remote access to the data through Encardio Rite’s web-based platform. This ensures early detection of potential issues and enhances the safety of the infrastructure.

Chagallu Barrage Project Stage-II

The Chagallu project involved the construction of a 40 meter high and 4 km long earth dam with a 25 m high spillway. The project started in year 2007. Encardio-rite’s work included the geotechnical instrumentation for the barrage, earth dam, and canals.

Encardio-rite’s scope of work included supply, installation, and monitoring of the geotechnical instrumentation. The instruments used included a piezometer, uplift pore pressure meter, pressure cell, strain gage, temperature meter, joint meter, vertical/horizontal movement devices, plumb lines, a portable readout unit, and an automatic data acquisition system.
