Parnai dam

The Parnai Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-river scheme featuring a concrete gravity dam on the Suran River tributary in Jammu & Kashmir. Designed for 37.5 MW capacity, it includes three 12.5 MW units. Encardio Rite was awarded the sub-contract for the supply and installation of safety monitoring instrumentation. The key instruments deployed were joint meters, concrete pressure cells, and bireflex targets with break-off points and convergence bolts, enabling continuous structural health monitoring and ensuring project safety.

Parnai dam

Parnai Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-the-river project consisting of a concrete gravity dam. The project envisages diversion of the designed discharge of water of Suran River downstream of the confluence of Parnai and Chang nallah (water stream), at Bafliaz through a tunnel across Jaranwali ridge for generating 37.5 MW of hydropower near Bata Durian village and dropping tail waters into Mendhar nallah (water stream). Parnai and Mendhar nallah are both tributaries of Suran / Poonch river, which, in itself, is a tributary of the river Jhelum. The installed capacity of the proposed project activity is 37.5 MW, comprising 3 generating units of 12.5 MW each.

Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for the supply as well as the installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included joint meters, concrete pressure cells, and bireflex targets with break-off points and convergence bolts.
