Alaknanda Hydroelectric Project

The Alaknanda Hydroelectric Project in Srinagar, Uttarakhand, is a 330 MW run-of-river power plant aiming to reduce fossil fuel dependency. The project features a 98-meter concrete gravity diversion dam, headrace tunnel, intake tunnels, desilting basin, powerhouse, and switchyard. Encardio Rite provided turnkey supply and installation of safety monitoring geotechnical and geodetic instrumentation, ensuring structural integrity and operational safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Alaknanda Hydroelectric Project

The Alaknanda Hydroelectric Project is located on the Alaknanda River in Srinagar, Uttarakhand, India. The run-of-river hydroelectric project is expected to reduce the northern grid's dependence on fossil fuels for electricity generation.

The project includes the construction of a 98-meter-long concrete gravity diversion dam, a headdress tunnel, six intake tunnels, a desilting basin, a powerhouse, a tailrace channel, and a switchyard. The total generation capacity of the project is 330 MW.

Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring, geotechnical, and geodetic instrumentation for the project.
