Thomson-East Coast Line Project

Thomson–East Coast Line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore. It is fully underground with 32 stations and over 43 km length of tunnel. Once complete, it will be one of the world's longest driverless rapid transit lines. It runs along a combined north–south and east–west corridor, starting in the north at Woodlands town, passing through Upper Thomson and the towns of Ang Mo Kio and Bishan, before heading south to Orchard Road and Marina Bay, then running eastwards along the east coast through Kallang, Marine Parade and Bedok South, before ending at Upper East Coast.

Thousands of Encardio-rite’s sensors were used in different contracts of the project, for the safety monitoring of the project. Few of the contracts are mentioned below.

  • Steven to Napier MRT Station Contract T216 and T217 (LTA Contract T2805)

Around 260 numbers of Piezometers, 600 numbers of Arc Weldable Strain Gauges, 26 numbers of Tilt meters were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.

  • Orchard Boulevard to Orchard MRT Station Contract T218 and T219 (LTA Contract T2806)

Around 125 numbers of Piezometers, 1055 numbers of Arc Weldable Strain Gauges, 50 numbers of Tilt meters were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.

  • Great World to Havelock MRT Station Contract T218 and T219 (LTA Contract T2807)

Around 235 numbers of Piezometers, 800 numbers of Arc Weldable Strain Gauges, 40 numbers of Tilt meters were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.

  • Mandai Depot, Woodlands South to SpringLeaf MRT Station Contract T201, T207 and T208 (LTA Contract T2209)

Around 140 numbers of Piezometers, 585 numbers of Arc Weldable Strain Gauges, 35 numbers of Tilt meters were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.

  • Shenton Way to Marina Bay MRT Station Contract T225 and T226 (LTA Contract T2907)

Around 270 numbers of Piezometers, 565 numbers of Arc Weldable Strain Gauges, 60 numbers of Tilt meters, 330 numbers of EL beam sensors and 40 numbers of crack meters were used in the project. All sensors (100%) are operating satisfactorily until today.
