Mumbai Metro Line 3 Project
The Line 3 of the Mumbai Metro, also known as Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Line, is a part of the metro system under construction (as of 2021) in Mumbai, India. When completed, the 33.5 km long line will be the first underground metro line in Mumbai and will be operated by MMRC. The metro line will connect Cuffe Parade business district in the extreme south of the city to SEEPZ in the north-central with 26 underground and one at-grade station. The tunnel alignment will consist of twin tunnels 5.5 m in diameter each, at a depth of 20-25 m below ground. Seventeen tunnel boring machines are being used, to construct these tunnels.
Encardio-rite was entrusted with the dilapidation survey and instrumentation and monitoring works for all the packages by respective Contractors. Scope of works for different packages is briefed below:
Contract UGC-01 (Cuffe Parade – CST)
Tunnels & 4 stations at Cuffe Parade, Vidhan Bhavan, Churchgate & Hutatama Chowk

Encardio-rite was given sub-contract for:
- Dilapidation (pre-construction building condition) survey of hundreds of buildings within zone of influence of excavation works and tunnel alignment
- Supply and installation of geotechnical and geodetic monitoring instrumentation for underground stations and tunnels
- Supply and installation of geotechnical and geodetic monitoring instrumentation for sensitive buildings within zone of influence of excavation works and tunnel alignment
- Monitoring services with daily, weekly and monthly monitoring
Contract UGC-02 (CST – Mumbai Central)
