Compression load cells are designed to measure compressive load or forces in struts application, with a high degree of accuracy and reliability. Encardio-rite compression or solid load cells are widely used to measure the load transferred on the struts. The load cells can be installed in between the struts, or at either end of the struts.
The compression load cells are also extensively used for compressive load measurement during the testing of piles. For testing piles at high loads, more than one load cell is used.

Model ELC-210S compression (solid) load cell; available in capacities ranging from 1000 kN to 3500 kN. Specially designed to meet the increasing demand in load measurement with a high degree of accuracy and reliability, the load cell is ideally suited for the measurement of compressive load or forces in struts application.
Model ELC-150S-H high capacity compression (solid) load cell; available in capacities ranging from 5000 kN to 12500 kN. It is extensively used for compressive load measurement during the testing of piles.
The above resistive strain gage type compression load cells are precision-engineered, designed to measure compressive load or axial forces. To minimize the effect of uneven and eccentric loading, the strain gages are equally spaced along the circumference. These are specially designed for civil engineering applications and provide accurate and reliable data.
Load cell readings can be measured by using any standard digital read-out unit suitable for resistive strain gauge type sensors. The data can also be automatically collected at the desired frequency, stored and transmitted to a remote server by a suitable data logger using multiplexer/bus mux or SDI-12 digital interface.
